Zakynthos wurde lange als eine der sch\u00f6nsten Griechischen Inseln angesehen. Sie ist die s\u00fcdlichste und die drittgr\u00f6\u00dfte der Ionischen Inseln und liegt 8,5 nautische Meilen s\u00fcdlich von Kefalonia und 9,5 nautische Meilen westlich von Peloponnes. Ihre geografische Lage gew\u00e4hrleistet die einfache Erreichbarkeit der anderen Inseln und von Griechenlands Festland.<\/p>\n

Die Insel hat eine reiche Geschichte und Tradition, da sie f\u00fcr mehrere Jahrhunderte die Kreuzung zahlreicher Nationen und Kulturen gewesen ist. Die Venezianer, welche die Insel im Mittelalter regiert haben, nannten sie \u201edie Blume des Ostens\u201c. <\/p>\n

Zakynthos ist eine Insel voller Kontraste und beheimatet das ber\u00fchmten Schiffswrack am Strand (Navagio), mit seinem unvergesslichen t\u00fcrkisblauen Wasser und den atemberaubenden Blauen Grotten.
